"Blessed of Him" Video Devotion

"Blessed of Him" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verses 21 through 24. Blessed or cursed! Which one do you choose? Put that way, the choice seems rather simple. Then why do so many choose to be cursed? In viewing life, the choices do not really seem to be that succinct, do they? Yet, how much easier would our life be if we really thought in the simple terms presented by David in the Psalms.

"Forever" Video Devotion

"Forever" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verses 16 through 20. How long is forever? It really does not matter how little or great one's wealth is when viewed with the perspective of forever. What are these few earthly years in comparison? In the end, that is really what is at the heart of Christianity, is it not?

"The Wicked" Video Devotion

The title of this video devotional from Psalm 37, verses 12 through 15, is "The Wicked." Who are the wicked? In this 21st century world, that question is becoming more and more difficult to answer? What happened to the world of black and white; good and evil? Do you remember the time when the good cowboys wore white hats, and the bad cowboys wore black hats? We had no trouble identifying the bad guy, did we? However, in our day, no one wears white, and no one wears black; everyone is dressed in gray!

"Meek or Weak" Video Devotion

"Meek or Weak" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verse 11. Have you ever thought about the truth that the wicked are truly the weak ones in this world? One does not have to live very long to understand that it is much easier to go along with the crowd that to take a stand against what is wrong. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5)

"Rest in the Lord" Video Devotion

"Rest in the Lord" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verses 7 through 10. Rest in the Lord! More beautiful words have not been spoken! In a time when life scurries by at an astronomical pace, we hardly know the meaning of the word, "rest." Yet, that is exactly what David, the psalmist bids us do. Not an ounce of our worry will achieve anything; all of our busyness is fruitless. In the realm of eternity, only what is done for Christ will last.

"Refuge and Strength" Video Devotion

"Refuge and Strength" is the title of this KJV video devotion from Psalm 46, verses 1 through 3. Psalm 46 is perhaps one of the most loved Psalms written, and rightly so. When life is at its best or at its worst, God is the One who stands alone as both our refuge and our strength. Only through Christ can we honestly say we have no fear even if the very earth we stand upon is removed.

"Commit and Trust" Video Devotion

"Commit and Trust" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verses 5 through 6. Commit! Now that is a huge expectation, is it not? In a time when marriages, even among Christians, are failing at an astronomical rate, it has become more and more common for couples to just live together. Why is that? I think most are afraid of the "C" word: commit. The whole idea of committing oneself to just one other person for life is, indeed, frightening.

"Fret Not, but Trust In" Video Devotion

"Fret Not but Trust In" is the name of this video devotion from Psalm 37, verses 1 through 4. Psalm 37 is perhaps one of the most loved of the Psalms and for very good reasons. Knowing how prone we are to be consumed with worries and struggles, David begins with the words,  Fret not because of evil doers; two verses later he admonishes us to, Trust in the Lord.

"Foot of Pride" Video Devotion

This video devotion from Psalm 36, verses 10 through 12, is entitled, "Foot of Pride." The imagery used by David in Psalm 36 is so descriptive of life. We think of difficulties that come from without: illness, death, persecution or troubles from the ungodly, but how often do we pray for help from the difficulties that come from our own hand (or foot in this case)? How much easier would it be for us to live for Christ without our own foot of pride?

"Abundantly Satisfied" Video Devotion

"Abundantly Satisfied" is the title of this video devotion from Psalm 36, verses 7-9. How many of us can truthfully say that we are abundantly satisfied with life? Probably none of us would really say that, would we? As a matter of fact, life seems to be so filled with unexpected difficulties that we often tend to go from one crises to another. How, then, could David say such a thing?

"No Fear" Video Devotion

The title of this video devotion from Psalm 36, verses 1 through 6, is "No Fear." Is it good to have fear? Our modern day hero is often painted as one who has no fear, but is that necessarily a good thing? Fear in and of itself is neither good nor bad; it is the object of that fear that makes all of the difference. Verses 1 through 4 of Psalm 36 describe one who has no fear of God; he is consumed by wickedness and deceit.
