A New Song!

1O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

A New Song!

What an amazing privilege to know Christ. There is hardly a country in existence which has not been reached by God's amazing Word.
He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Yet it was not always so! In the beginning God revealed Himself to Adam and Eve, yet their sin separated them from Him. As man began to multiply on the face of this world, only a few still loved and acknowledged the Lord God their Creator. By the time of Abraham, the knowledge of God seemed to have disappeared from off the face of the earth.

Then, God interceded. He reached down and called Abraham from his father's house and led him to a new country. As we read through the book of Genesis we see the amazing account of God's working among the descendants of Abraham. By the time of the exodus from Egypt, God's people numbered in the hundred thousands.

Tragically, however, their history was filled with times of rejection of this God who had lived and moved among them. Was all lost? Would the knowledge of God be removed from the face of the earth? No, God preserved a few who remained faithful to Him.

Then, the most amazing thing happened. The Lord Jesus Christ, the God Man, came into this world. Nothing like it had ever been known. God, reached down, took upon Himself the form of a man, and died for a people who left to themselves would have only rejected Him. Nothing in us makes us worthy to be called by His name. Yet, He loves us so!
The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Today, we sing and praise the name of our God for the Lord has made known His salvation to us! Yes, we sing a new song! Where once we had darkness and discouragement, now we have joy and peace. Where once life seemed bleak and desperate, now we have hope and life!

God has done marvelous things in our lives, and we will be forever grateful. Let us, then, go forth this day with a new song upon our lips. For once we lost, but now we have been found. Once we were blind, but now we see!

God Bless You,
Linda
