Abundance of Peace

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:7-11, New King James Version)

Abundance of Peace

Psalm 37 is one of most beautiful Psalms of David; it is so encouraging for Christians. Look at the advise and blessins given in just these few verses.

*Rest in the Lord.
*Wait patiently for Him.
*Do not fret over the prosperous.
*Cease from anger.
*Forsake wrath.
*Evil doers shall be cut off.
*Those who wait on the Lord will inherit the earth.
*The meek shall inherit the earth.
*The meek shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

These are troubling times, and yet no matter how things may look, God never loses control. Every plan He has for this earth will come to pass.

What an encouragement for us; at a time when Satan continues to bring false delusions to the forefront, and false accusations against the people of God, pray that we Christians will remain faithful to our God and King. How important that we keep our lives continually focused on the Lord Jesus Christ. It is He who saved us, it is He who keeps us, and it is He who will give us an abundance of peace.

As the world becomes more and more restless and strays farther and farther away from real peace, the children of God become more and more secure in the peace of God which passes all understanding.

What a blessing to all saints of God! May you be filled this day with an abundance of peace.

God Bless You,
