1 Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the LORD will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
5 Then you shall see and be radiant;
your heart shall thrill and exult.
Isaiah 60:1-3 & 5, English Standard Version
Your Light Has Come!
It is good for us to think upon the future time when we can arise and shine, for your light has come, foretold in Isaiah 60:1 Why do you think God has spoken of His coming in so many places in the Word of God? It is good for us to ponder that glorious day so that we do not become overwhelmed with our own circumstances in life.
As we read verse 2, shown above, we realize that this is fast becoming true! Darkness is creeping upon the entire world, and thick darkness of unbelief is spreading to its people. But, this is not the end; rather it is the beginning of the time of the return of Christ.
When Christ, our Light, has come, entire nations will come to that light, and kings will come to the brightness of the rising of the light of Christ.
Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult.
Let us immerse ourselves today in the hope of Christ's return. Even today, when we believe, we already can see the radiance of Christ, and can thrill and exult in His light. Just as the glorious beauty of a new dawn, after days of dreariness and darkness, so, even more, will that day be to us upon the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Today, let us thrill and glory in the Light of Christ, which washes away the dreariness of this world.
Arise, shine, for your light has come.
Even so come quickly, Lord Jesus.
God Bless You,
