The Last Benediction

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Revelations 22:21, KJV

I thought it fitting to end this series on Bible Benedictions with the last benediction in the Bible, found in the last verse in the Bible. It is short and succinct, but so powerful!

If you were to write a book, how would you end it? What are the last words you would leave on the page? John chose grace; the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

When we take an overview of our Christian life and our relationship with the Lord it does not take long for us to observe that it is all of grace. In grace God saw our sin and made a plan for our salvation. In grace Christ died for the sins of His people. In grace God resurrected Christ from the dead and brought Him to Heaven where He continually makes intercession for Christians. Our salvation is all of grace, and none of us! If God's grace does not dwell with us, then we have no salvation and life has no purpose!

The books are closed, God's Word has been written, and eleven short words summarize the message of the entire Bible.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

God Bless You,
Linda
